Chuck Nash
Charles Nash, Jr., owner of Chuck Nash Chevrolet – Buick - GMC, was born March 19, 1951 in Austin, Texas to Charles D. Nash and Dorothy Moore Nash. Chuck graduated from Austin High School in 1969 and attended San Angelo State University and St. Edwards University. Chuck Nash has more than 30 years experience in the automotive industry and is a third generation car dealer. He purchased a dealership in San Marcos at the age of 25, becoming one of the youngest people to own a dealership.
As his business continues to grow, Chuck has continued his contributions to the community through his involvement with non-profit organizations locally and statewide. He has continued to serve the business community by acting as Area Director of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association, and was instrumental in creating the Texas Rivers Center at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos. Chuck is the Chair of the San Marcos Airport Commission, a San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Board member, and a member of the Texas State University Touchdown Team. From 1988 to 1993, he served as Commissioner of the Texas Parks and Wildlife. In 2007 The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce recognized Chuck for his contributions not only to the chamber but also the community. He was presented the “2007 Business Person of the Year” award for the council. Chuck was also nominated for the 2009 TIME Magazine Dealer of the Year and was one of a select group of 49 dealers out of 19,500 nationwide selected for recognition by TIME and Goodyear, in cooperation with the National Automobile Dealers Association.
