Sam Cooper

Sam Cooper is a practicing CPA with 27 years of experience offering specialized services in fee based wealth management and financial planning. He is President and founder of The Financial Pavilion, LLC and earned his certification as a Certified Financial Planner® professional in January 2002. Sam was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas and in 1991 he and his wife Karen chose Buda, Texas to raise their three children, Ben, Will and Taylor.

Among Sam’s many accomplishments:

  • Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative with Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc.
  • Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, Certified Financial Planner® and a Chartered Life Underwriter®
  • Holds Series 6, 7 and 63 securities registrations and Texas Group I: Life & Health Insurance
  • Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society Certified Public Accountants, Financial Planning Association and the Texas Association of Financial and Tax Specialists

Sam received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to serving as a Trustee on the Seton Hays Foundation Board, Sam serves as the Treasurer for the City of Buda, Texas Economic Development Corporation, Managing Member of the Hays Communities YMCA Advisory Board and Commander for the Manchaca Bible Fellowship AWANA Program.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys the outdoors, including hunting and fishing and even more importantly, attending his children’s various sporting activities.
